What is the Argus?

Argus stands for Archive, Research, Guide, and Survey. The name carries older meanings as well. In ancient human mythology from the region once called Greece, Argus was the ship that carried Jason and the Argonauts across the unknown sea in search of the Golden Fleece. It was also the name of the ship’s builder, and of Argus Panoptes — the many-eyed giant. In any case, this Argus — this ship, my ship, and the Archive it contains — was built for things similar to the namesakes, and more. A vessel moving through the universe in search of… well, I am not actually sure. It is captained, naturally, by me: Peregrinus Palmer. The Social Penitent.
