Interval II

Interval II began during the event known as the Transition, which commenced in 2100 CE. Surviving records from this era are sparse, fragmented, and of frequently dubious origin, giving rise to the Interval’s more common designation: the Dark Ages. Much of the Second Interval is now regarded as mythological, its true history obscure, revised, and ultimately lost. Despite its profound influence on humanity’s development, the era itself was comparatively brief, ending in 3400 CE with the beginning of the next — and perhaps final — stage of human evolution.
