Quantum Substrate

The universe’s smallest and most elementary substrate is fundamentally asymmetrical. Symmetry emerges only statistically at larger scales, much as the rough edge of a blade appears smooth and uniform to the naked eye. The universe is under no obligation to satisfy the mortal instinct for order. Do not assume that every force, particle, or equation possesses an opposite waiting to balance it.
